Anemia

Anemia is a condition in which you don’t have enough healthy red blood cells to carry adequate oxygen to your tissues. If you have anemia, you probably feel tired a lot. Anemia is caused by a decrease in production of red blood cells, destruction of red cells, or blood loss.

Anemia causes weakness, feebleness, fatigue, breathlessness, paleness, powerless, and more, there are many forms of anemia, each with its own cause. Anemia can be temporary or long term, and it can range from mild to severe.

Remedies for Anemia

  1. Drink daily: 2-3 cups of white cabbage juice
  2. Eat a lot of dried fruits
  3. Eat a lot of cooked lentils
  4. Eat liver, lamb, apples and quince
  5. Anemia natural treatment: blanch parsley leaves and drink
  6. Blanch Nettle leaves and drink 3-4 cups daily
  7. Eat a lot of dates to help with the anemia
  8. Lettuce is another effective remedy for this ailment as it contains a considerable amount of iron. It can, therefore, be used as a good tonic food for anemia. The iron in it is easily absorbed by the body.
  9. Spinach is a valuable source of high grade iron. After its absorption, it helps in the formation of hemoglobin and red blood cells. It is thus beneficial in building up the blood, and in the prevention and treatment of anemia.
  10. Soya bean is rich in iron and also has a high protein value. As most anemic patients usually also suffer from a weak digestion, it should be given to them in a very light form, preferably in the form of milk, which can be easily digested.
  11. Black sesame seeds, as a rich source of iron, are valuable in anemia. After soaking one teaspoon of the seeds in warm water for a couple of hours, they should be ground and strained, and then mixed with a cup of milk and sweetened with sugar. This emulsion should be given to patients suffering from anemia.

Do’s

  • Do breathing exercises.
  • Eat iron-rich foods, such as beets, carrots, grapes, raisins, and currants, and fresh green vegetables like spinach, chard.
  • Drink pomegranate juice and cranberry juice.
  • Drink copper water. Keep water in genuine copper glass overnight, and drink it in the morning.

Don’ts

  • Avoid drinking tea and coffee immediately after meals as they interfere in the absorption of iron from the food.
  • Avoid hot, spicy and fermented foods.
